It looks pretty good. I just don't see what brand it is anywhere. Did I miss that or do you have any idea?

they don't list a name of the fixture. I agree it does look decent but a name would really help.

you could also check out the 30” SunPod 1x250W HQI
Fixture by Current USA name brand and comes with I would bet a better brand bulb. for around the same price.

This would go on a 70 gallon tank. It is 30x23x23. This is the only MH/T5 fixture I could find for a 30" tank. i saw the sunpod but I also wont the t5 supplement. I like the current usa but would a 24 inch of same wattage be ok over the tank?

The brand is catalina aquatics. I dont know about the center brace. I specified though that if it does have on I need it to be clear. But I think he said they will probably just give me bracing on each side.

the tanks bracing is the concern. some tanks have a brace in the middle built on the tank.

i think people are worried over the brace being in the light...this would not only cast a shadow in your tank but being so close to a metal halide it might weaken it and let the pressure on the walls take over.

the light does look good i do agree im looking for a 30" MH light too but i cant afford the one youre looking at i was more like inclied towards the 199$ MH/PC 30" light from aquatraders...however im sure yours is MUCH better quality.

Well the guy building it said that most likely I will have side bracing. Also these lights have legs so that it is 15 inches above the tank. Aside from that though. Does the build quality and everything look good?
