blue tang and angel are such buddies!

I bought them from the same tank at the lfs to replace the skittish foxface.

Funny thing is that when I got rid of the fox face the skimate was very clear afterwards and looked like ice tea.

Blue tang in a 55g tank... not the best idea. How large is it?

What type of angelfish?

As always... we enjoy pictures

If you really have the 9 clowns that are in your sig then you are already fully stocked, let alone with two bigger fish.

They are both babies but this new itunes update has disabled my iphone syncing.

Trying to find old version of itunes to downgrade so I can enable iphone syncing again then I can transfer the photos.

If you have 9 clowns... I suggest getting rid of 7 of them.

I think my tank load is doing just fine.
I was just thorwn for a loop when I got rid of the fox face my skimate was so much lighter.

I doubt if I will add any more fish but I do wonder if the yellow angel would get along if I added a fire angel.

I don't think that everyone is telling you not to have all those fish because of your bioload, its because they need room to swim

A FTS with him in the tank would also help. If I remember your tank correctly I do not see a BIG issue with him other than that you have too many aggressive tankmates.

As I posted on your other thread, the problem with a tang that small among damsels, angels, and clownfish is that he will become a target for their aggression.

And if you know anything about tangs...

STRESS = WAY WAY BAD

My question to you inachu is, you say "I understand that perfectly well." Then why did you buy them and put them into such a small tank?

I hope you realize the track record of Rock Beauty angels, and that it ( along with the blue [hepatus] ) will get too large for a 55.

Agreed, my blue tang outgrew my 150 within a couple years, so I'm sure a 55 would be a bad choice.

So I guess the blue tang will last in the tank about 1 year before I must trade it in....

Anything such as a midget tang? lol

The angel will get just as large?

I have seen fully grown tangs but never seen fully gown angels before.

The Rock Beauty Angel will get between 8-10" as an adult.

http://www.liveaquaria.com/product/p...423&pcatid=423

The Pacific Blue Tang... 12"

http://www.liveaquaria.com/product/p...330&pcatid=330

You're smallest tangs are usually the bristletooth tangs, but they are still unsuited for a 55g tank.

If you like colorful, active fish... I suggest looking at Reef-Safe Wrasses.

get rid of all the fish bar 2 clowns and slow down, then do some research and start again very slowly and stock correctly, it may be just me but i think it wont be long before the clowns start to get rid of each other and then only 1 or 2 will be left anyhow, did you say it was your landlords tank inachu, if so have a word with him/her and suggest taking all the fish back to the store, you can then get something that will live a full life in there
