It was kinda funny i have lived in this apartment for 1 solid year and that is the first time the electric has been out. It has only flickered one other time that was right after we moved in. Just have to say thanks to my wife for blowing bubbles and dumping water while i was working for 12 hours a day. She kept saying man i hope we don't lose this after all the money we have put in it. Well i didn't ever think she would be into this hobby but she is hooked know LOL Another positive note is that my yellow tang has never been as active or out as much as has been in the last 24 hours. |

Had that happened, my ''helper'' (brother or mother) would have just laughed and then blamed me for the death of the fish. My mother is one of those people that does not understand patience. She says, "Why don't you just go out and buy about 10 big fish and a lot of corals and stick it in there. There is no need to use a QT, it is a waste of money"

would like some clubhouse advice k this is what my leather looked like two days ago this is what it looks like 5 min ago. again, notice the cowrie is all over again as soon as the attinics came on. looks like my GSM doesnt like the leathers location anymore either so he moved it 6 inches. should i remove the cowrie or just hope its nothing..... i am about ready to evict the GSM i have seen him take swipes at my tang and thats why he is kinda tore up. |

it could just be shedding, leathers do that every now and then. The cowrie might just be eating the "shed mucous".

I am starting to wonder what I am doing wrong-I don't have parasites, don't have ich, don't have red bugs, don't have nitrates ammonia and phosphates, all four tangs get along with each other, power only went off for five min, my anemomes stay put---kinda boring hobby for me I guess.

Managed to catch one of the cleaner shrimps tonight...
Stuck chunks of silverside in an algae clip, and suctioned it to the glass. Then when he was hanging on the clip eating away, I used a now "fish only" bowl shaped pasta strainer to trap him against the glass. Now all that's left is one more cleaner shrimp, and the pistol shrimp.

I think it'll be fun for him to try and catch that pistol. At least the CB shrimp didn't hide underneath the rocks.

Nice guys....thanks for the catch up. I caught mine by pulling EVERYTHING out of the tank. Piece of cake, just rip the reef apart, catch the little "B" and voila......BS.......catching shrimp blows!

Here are 2 sites that I have run across that both seem to be in Ontario and both sell tanks. Aquarium Obsessed may only do custom tanks. They are also the retailer of the Aquatronica controllers. www.aquariumobsessed.com www.miraclesaquariums.com |

I'm not in a REAL big hurry to dose the Interceptor, but would like to get it done sometime in the near future. I'll be picking up some frags at the local club meeting Friday night. So at the very earliest, I'm not planning on treating the tank until after I add those frags. |

Anyway... nothing outside the cyano really bothers me. Just minor inconveniences with simple enough solutions, and it seems just about everyone who keeps primarily SPS has gone through this at some point or another. |
