Not sure on how to add photos to this site, but I would be more than willing to send you some attached to an e-mail. If you remember, it was only with your help that I could add a refugium since you did the drilling to the main tank. but in the meantime, its a 20 gal long, divided into three compartments using 1/16inch plexiglas as the baffles. all is working fine except that in an attempt to maximize the refugium part, i made the skimmer side a bit too small limiting my choices in skimmers. But it all works well and the growth has been great. You are also welcome to stop by and see it for your self..

if those are phophate media reactors its best to put the pumps for those in the cleanest section of the sump - after the fuge/return pump section... that way the macro has dibs on the phosphate that enters the sump and then the (expensive) media will last longer... also all the detritus (from the water directly from the tank) can/will clog the phosphate media/reactor... then the return line from the reactor back over into where water enters the sump that way the recycled water mixes w/ new and gets recycled again. just fyi regards |

gonna follow along I picked up a 30 long I want to build into a sump/fuge for my 38 gal reef. It may be overkill but it was cheap!

Thanks for the compliment. It has been for sale for a while now and finally it should be gone this week. Here is the original post that has all the info about it.
http://www.reefcentral.com/forums/sh...readid=1438550 My tank took a small hit when I started the fuge, but then everything just took off. I had 90+ corals in my 225g that did great, 14 fish 2 of them mandarins and one of them looks like he is on steroids. Any questions let me know.
