Great pics, great tank! The 40 Breeder is my favorite size tank.

Any FTS?

Thanks and here is a FTS. I know a Tang doesn't belong in a 40 but I have a bigger tank coming in any day!!

Very nice!
There are lots of places tangs don't belong, but that's another story.

You have two overflow boxes in there?

Did a google search for it, didn't really find anything on it. Sorry to hijack, but where do you get a coral like that and how hardy is it etc? Thanks. Can't wait to see the upgrade.

"You have two overflow boxes in there?"

Yeah, that is two overflows. I custom made them. The fronts and the sides facing the glass are made out of black acrylic and the bottom and insides are clear acrylic. This allows for minimal shadows and still takes up way less room than a conventional overflow. They pull right off the tank for cleaning. There is a 1" pvc inserted into the back of the overflow and that goes into a slip bulkhead. This serves two purposes, they are off the glass a tint bit and water can overflow all four sides and they can be removed easily for cleaning.

BTW...there are alot of places that a Tang dosen't belong....like in a salad!!

I cherry picked that coral from a ORA shipment at my LFS. I got it about 5 months ago and at the time he was getting one with all of his ORA shipments.

When I bought it I did find it on ORA's weg site.

Thanks, I got the idea from a local reefer. His didn't have the clear acrylic though....his are in a 180 so the small shadows aren't an issue.

I will never have a standard RR overflow again!

Yeah, I really like that. I have something similar in my 40 Brdr. The box itself is as small as I could make it, although not removable.

I really wish I would have made this narrower (front to back) but live and learn. I will do that on my next build.

Sweet tank. Those rics at the bottom left look real nice. Is that tang A. pyroferus?
