anyone have the in180 yet? i am trying to find out how much air it pulls. my dad is going to be picking up a new skimmer and since i do all of the maintenance on his reef im picking it out for him. lol. i am seriously debating this skimmer. he wants a skimmer with decent air draw and not much tinkering.

Stll no one.... I still have yet yo order as well. This money is burning a hole in my pocket. But im still kinda in a air. The octos just seem so popular. It will either be the octo 150, extream 160 or the vertex 100. Im leaning toward the vertex because of simplicly and from what i have read its just about in the middle of the other 2 mentioned above. I need to just order it. Maybe i should give someone the money and have them do it for me already .LOL.

lol i think i took more than enough pictures watch the video. you will be pleased. I would get the vertex over the octo 150 without a doubt.

but what about the OctoX160 ?

i know theres a slight difference in price, but still...

Asking because I've really liked the IN100 for a while (based off of what people have been saying) but the octoX line seems to really be impressive at < 300 for the X160 and X200 models.

I would get the 200 over the 160. But its your choice. If you want to spend $199 get hte vertex. If you want to spend more the msx 200 is great skimmer.

agreed, the OctoX200 sounds like a better long term skimmer for about $90 more, I can keep it when I upgrade and the IN100 is only rated to 100g.

Man that octo x 200 is just so big but it does look sweet, good luck . I just don't have that kinda room in my sump/fuge. im looking at 10 x 12 footprint max

then go with the in 100. it has a 6 in diameter body. Should work out fine.

I'll do it, I'll do it, i'll do it!! I might as well order my return pump as well to save on shipping, to what do you think about the oceanrunner 2500. Its a 75g with built in overflow. By the way if my wife yells at me for spending so much, im going to tell her to log on here and let you guys have it too!!!LOL!

OR2500 will be fine. if your sump were larger I might say 3500 but the 2500 will do just fine. They're great pumps at a great price imo.

I tested an IN-250 the other day and it pulled about 15 LPM (900 LPH) on my RMA-22 at 67 watts.

vertex with aquabee 2000/1 ?

My DAS skimmer has quit on me . Deltec Knock off . The pump appears to be fine but the body may be the issue . I am about to order this skimmer but have yet to decide if the Aqua Euro 135 classic with the bubble plate will be available . I see talk of crappy pumps for both models . Any thoughts on using my old aqua bee pump on either model ?

It is a Dwyer RMA-22. It measures in LPM.
