question on running 2 phosban reactors
i'm planning on getting 2 Two Little Fishies phosban reactors. One will run carbon and the second will run phosban.
my question is do I need 2 pumps and I run them each separately or do I connect a pump to the first reactor and plumb the outlet of that to the inlet of the second? if i should run 2 pumps individually on these, will they both be setup completely independently? thanks for any help in advance... josh |

Both in line or separate both will work. I run GFO then Carbon both in line with one pump.

I run mine in series teed off my return pump. I run GAC then GFO as most GAC will leach small amounts of PO4, so I figure GFO 2nd would be more beneficial. Plus, I change the GAC far more often than the GFO, so the GAC collects whatever detritus makes it in, prolonging the life of the GFO.

Run a T from the carbon outlet to GFO inlet. Carbon is meant to be high flow GFO low flow.

I run two Phosban reactors in series, both with GFO, but you could run 1 with GFO and the other with carbon.

I run the line from a maxi 900 to a T, one side of the T goes to the GFO reactor with a valve that allows me to adjust the flow, the remaining flow goes through the carbon. So mine run parrallel instead of inline
