HOB Skimmer, what's good
So i've been out of the HOB skimmer loop since i have a bigger tank, but I have a tank in the office, a 60 gallon that i needs a skimmer, and I was thinking of a Hang on Back one. What is good these days?
I plan on using it for a FOWLR. Thanks! |

I've been using the Octo 800s on my SPS and it's been good for me, but on a FOWLR it might be over kill.

CPR Bak Pak is a good choice and more economical. Good for 60 gallon tanks. Suk Chu is always good to his customers.
You can get one through premium aquatics or champion lighting.. |

Warner Marine HX-2.
A fellow local highly-experienced reefer just went through the HOB selection process for an additional 60g tank, and opted for the WM after extensive consideration of numerous models. He's quite pleased with it. |

Check out the turboflotor blue 1000 from aquamedic. It works as a hang on or sump or outside and uses only 12 watts. Quality german skimmer.

The octo 800s HOB is so cool, solid white with bubbles, no such thing as over kill on a fowlr. Lower them nitrates...................

I really don't think you can beat the MCE600.
I went to a larger tank so I'm going to sell mine, to bad you were not closer as I'm a little afraid to ship it. |

You can get equal performance and definately beat the price, But the MCE 600 is a great skimmer.
