glass cleaning magnet
well i decided to upgrade my mag float, and was woundering if I should go with magnavore or hammerhead. I am leaning toward the hammerhead because I like the wood finish a little more than the black.

I upgraded to a hammerhead about a year ago and it was the best thing I ever did. My only regret is i didn't check to make sure it was floatable and it isn't. I do believe that all of the hammerheads are floatable now, but I'd make sure.

Looks like it might be a hammerhead for me. Although, I am suprised we have not heard from any magnavore owners as I thought it was the more popular of the two.
hammerhead owners what size would you recomend for aga 150g, I beleive it has 5/8'' glass. They have two models that have 5/8" in their specks. Should I go with the stronger of the two?

the magnet is much stronger than a mag float and you can replace the pads

I am a magnavore user and am very happy. Had the Hammerhead before and although it was pleasing to the eye, it just didn't seem as strong. Also, the Magnavore has a larger inside so it is easier to get edges
![]() But I am really looking into the mightymagnets.com I purchased a algea dozer pad and decided to try it with my magnavore. It was amazing because it removed the annoying brown/green algae that usually needs to be scraped by the kent proscraper which are only good the first few times you use it. This is for a acrylic if you hadn't guessed yet ![]()

There is a new magnet called the nimble. A few reefers in my local club have them. Unfortunately it doesnt float but its very slim and can fit in small areas and behind rocks. Just depends on your needs.

If you are looking for power check out magnavore, it takes a little bit to move it but coraline is gone with few swipes, and watch your fingers
