HELP!!! GF purposely poured Dish Soap in My Aquarium..Everything Dead! Need HELP

Hey guys, So long story short, My gf and I got into a fight and she purposely poured dish soap in my red sea max 34g. I came home and when I walked in the door I saw my aquarium filled with soap and all my fish dead on the sand. My corals are all dead and My live rock has also completely died. Everything in the aquarium has died in a matter of minutes! I couldnt believe that she did this and I dont know what to do now. Ive spent thousands on this and its all gone. Yes im ****ed and very heartbroken. I already filed a claim agaisnt her and im getting $2500 back. Still this whole situation has been very hard on me lossing everything I worked so hard for.

Anyone have any suggestions on what I should do? I would really appriciate all the help I can get right now.

You are going to have to start from scratch. Tear everything down and clean it.

Sand, LR??? Can you clean that to the point it can be reused??

That would have been my first thing to do is make sure she paid for it.... Hopefully you get that money.

I wouldn't make her pay for it, I'd learn from why she did it and suck it up and be a better person in the future.

I never cheated on her. She Assumed I was talking to other girls and or cheating on her but I wasnt at all. She has high in securities about other girls since we live in Santa Barbara and girls are everywhere. But I drained everything out and threw away everything already. Is there anything else I could save? The Rock? Will it come back to LR after awhile or should I toss it?

There had to be a reason or she would have squashed your beer can collection if you paid more attention to that instead of her. You can't honestly say there wasn't a good reason. Not saying it's right.

Soak the rock in bleach and then boil it for 30 min
You then can reseed with fresh LF

If I said what I would do in your situation it would DEFINATLEY be against the UA.. I'd have her arrested. I'm not kidding. I don't care if you slept with her sister, nobody should do anything like that.

WHo says people have to be reasonable? I have dated chicks that would freak out about things that were entirely in their own head. I wouldn't assume the guy had it coming. I don't think anything he could have done would make this a reasonable response.

I wouldn't boil the rock but I would be looking to wash everything in vinegar and be starting all over. Bummer dude.

excuse my expression... but that is some profanity removed i would make sure that she'll pays for everything, eve thought money won't bring back all the hard work you did... another thing a new tank will never be the same one.... i'm really sorry.... i would dump her profanity removed

i just told my wife about this... and you guys want to hear what she said? she told me that she would do different; not to leave any suspicion behind.... i told her that i would leave her if she do anything like that.... i'm scared now...

Ive got a suggestion, dont get mad, get EVEN!!! I agree that I would probably toss the live rock too. Chalk it up as a loss and painful life experience and start from scratch, and definitely wash everything with vinegar.

I swear to you she thought i was cheating on her and thats why she did it. She has never done anything or even said anything about doing this before. Thats why I was so suprised when I saw what she had done. I would of kicked her out of the apartment but shes also on the lease and we cant do anything about it. So the only good thing out of this situation is im getting $2500 next week.... Any suggestions on what I should Get? The ELOS over the Red Sea? idk???
