The 1200 is on a sure-grip magnet holder which is infinately better than suction cups. I'll get a picture tomorrow of the new setup.
Here's the Maxi-Jet. Under the stock return pump outlet and beside the IceProbe's probe. I have it set to the ReefKeeper's wavemaking cylce A. It runs for 20 seconds then shuts off for 20 seconds and keeps cycling that way until the night mode shuts it off at 10:30 p.m. and turns it back on at 8:30 a.m. It also shuts off for up to 3 minutes at the touch of a button during feed mode so that the fish can eat without the powerhead blowing their food all around the tank.

Edit: didn't use screw as was said in post on previous page and in qoute below. Lost it somewhere. Was going to use screw, washer and nut as shown in top photo. The nut isn't going on the screw, but you get the picture of what it should be.

30055 VIEWS ON THIS THREAD. WOO HOO !!!

Taking a break on this thread while I do some remodeling in between the ranching projects. I'll be putting away the nano cube temporarily and setting up the 33 gallon in a bare bones situation. The nano cube is too small for fishes and I can't stand it any longer. I need fishes!

Yes it's official. Tearing down the NC6. I've spent a lot of time and money on it the last year-and-a-half and still can't get a fish in it. Just too small for long term. It's just a quarantine and frag tank.

Be gettin the big tank probably sometime in the next two weeks. Looks like it will be a glasscages.com 33 long acrylic. 48 inches long.

I'm trying to research about salinity measuring as this is important for managing water changes. Here's a thread of mine in the Chemistry Forum is still ongoing and discusses conductivity meters and refractometers:

Started a list of fish for the 33. Got 2 picked out for now, 1 (eel) once my tank is established and need one more. So it will be three fish for awhile.

1. Ocellaris clown
2. Six-line wrasse

list for the third (I'll only pick one from this list):

coris wrasse
canary blenny
midas blenny
royal gramma
no dwarf angels as this tank will have corals
no burrowing or shrimp gobies as this tank will be bare-bottom for awhile
anything else I might add to this list

Okay...I eliminated the canary blenny because they are venomous.

And I've thought about an invert list.....

Just ordered the 33 today.

3 August 09.

On the phone the guy said he'll have it made and shipped off within a week. I specifically asked him to email to me the shipment tracking number. That's when he said he'll have it made and shipped off within a week. That's it, nothing about a tracking number.

I really love dwarf angels and I really love corals. I just might chance it and try a pair of pygme angels like in the pic. They would go good with my username. It would be instead of the clown and wrasse.

Okay watch this YouTube video of a pygme angel. Her blue body changes shades as she moves around made by the light shining at different angles. This is unique to this species.

Tank specs:

33 gallon long ACRYLIC. Can't get a glass tank this size shipped to my locale. Besides, acrylic is lighter, stronger, and clearer.

Dimensions: 48"x12"x12" This is about the max length you can get and still have a certified nano. I like to see fish move about and not sit perched or peeking out of a hole. This is got linear swimming space.

A 5"x5" internal overflow. A sump/refugium is a must and I have to get water down to it. Don't like HOB overflows. As a matter of fact, I don't like HOB anything. The tank's height is low and the entire top of tank can be seen.

Hinged acrylic tank tops. To stop jumpers. Tank tops haven't caused me any difficulties in the past.

Sounds like there is no way of knowing. Some will and some won't. It depends on the individual fish.

I think if I were to do a nem/clown thing, I would buy the nem with a clown that is currently being hosted by that nem.

I also like this fish, a Whitespot dwarf puffer. It's a crustacean eater like the snowflake moray.
