Spa flex for my drain?
Im wondering who out there has used spa flex for their drain or returns and how its holding up? Can standard fittings be pvc cemented to the spa flex and is it strong?
Thanks Dennis |

Have been using it for returns for years. Very strong, but only semi flexible.

You can heat it up with hot water. In a bucket or in the tup. To shape it, some what.

I used a hairdryer to heat up the ends to get the fittings in.
You can clamp the ends. Metal outside water or nylon on both ends if you want. |

The stuff I got from Savko was compeltely flexible right out of the box also.... didn't have to heat it up or anything. I used primer and glue with regular schedule 40 PVC fittings and everything worked out just fine.

I used a little spaflex on one of my drains on my system. Works great. I used standard PVC fittings with flexible pvc cement. Some will argue you can use standard cement but why risk it for a couple bucks.

What's spaflex?
![]() ![]() I pick mine up local (lucky me, Savko.com IS local). They recommend using Weld-on 795 for any connections that have spaflex. I'd 0% failure/leak rate for who knows how many (probably 100+) connections. ![]()
