Which calcium reator should I buy!?
I have 90 gal BB tank with a few SPS doing pretty well. I am really tired of using Kalc. I am looking for a good reactor that will handle my demands as they grow. I would like to have one that requires minimal tweaking and heartach. Right now I am looking at GEO and MRC. Andy at MRC said he would add so I can add a ph probe to his. The Geo looks a little more sturdy and better built but more expensive. what do you think?

I agree with elephen. I am very pleased with my ASD reactor, which can keep up with a much larger tank than my 90. Excellent build quality and customer service.

Heres a number 4 for aquatic systems design. Scott walked me through the whole process and helped me along every step of the way. Quality worksmanship as well.

Dont mean to hijack, but could someone tell me EVERYTHING you would need with the calcium reactor, and aprox cost of each?
How much to get a decent complete system for my 125g? Thanks. |

anyway you need: 1. Calcium Reactor 2. Media 4. C02 Tank 5. C02 (in da tank) 6. Regulator and selonoide (most come togeather) 7. Circulation pump (some are included with the reactor some are not) 8. Feeding pump (Maxijet 1200? this is what I have read) 9. PH Monitor/Controller I don't own one yet but this is as far as I can tell from my research.

![]() I am thinking of getting this one. It looks like a good combo of price and quality plus it comes with the circulation pump and they will add the probve holder for $10 MRC wanted like $20 for that and didn't include the circultation pump but was cheaper so it probably works out to be the same.

www.aquaticsystemsdesign.com as well. Mine is handling my fully stocked 180 of sps easily. The picture doesn't even do it justice imo. If I could, I would put the reactor on display just because it really does look cool.

So I will probably buy that one then. A single chamber should be fine right? Also should I go with a 5 or ten pound tank?

I've got the 6x18 GEO and it's working well after 1 week. I think any reactor is going to take a while to dial in so don't panic if it seems like a challenge to get the effluent where you want it to be.

It's easy if you get a controller. Mine dialed in very quick. Mine runs a 180 easily.
