my typhoon III finally works great! :)
My typhoon III worked good for the first 150ish gallons, the tds meter was showing 1 for ro/di water. After 150ish gallons it was in the 30's.. so called airwaterice up and they figured it was the membrane, so sent me a new one, plus sending me a couple new di's, since mine got burned through so fast. Well the new membrane did no good. so today I received the replacement rail (all the plumbing etc).. screwed my filtesr and such on it.. and now I get 2 ro and 0 ro/di! woohoo very nice.
my tap water is 160-170 going in, so with 2 ro and 0 ro/di I am very happy now. airwaterice.com customer service was fantastic to btw, if you are looking for a ro/di unit I would highly recommend you check them out. |

I recieved 3 faulty ro membranes from airwaterice. Then i stopped dealing with them. I wonder how long your new membrane will last.

AWI doesn't make the membranes. They come from Dow so don't blame them. If you have received 3 membranes that sounds like pretty darn good customer service to me. Thats like blaming Ford or GM if a Goodyear tire goes bad even though they replace it for you until its right. Get real.
My Dow membrane from them has lasted over two years and still going strong. |

I'm glad you finally got it figured out doox00. I know you just got screwed on those lights you got a while back, so this is fair turn around.....well fair would have been a little different, but just as well. Three cheers for AWI. On a side note, I met 2 other reefers this weekend and both owned Typhoon III's...they both love them and one guy said "that thing rocks!"
