which is better and why-chemi-pure or chemi-clean?

I have these annoying tiny air bubbles that form on my rocks after the lights have been on for several hours. the bubbles dissipate at night and return when the lights come back on.

What product should I usE FOR THIS?

THANKS

chemi-pure is carbon, chemi-clean is a white or (newer versions are brown) for oxidation of organic sludge and cynobacteria.

I agree with PatrickJ. So you should use Chemi-Clean, but I would try and figure out why this is happening and if there is a better solution then using chemicals. I am not bashing chemi clean, It does work great, but you can get control of the cyano yourself. What are your water specs, what for flow do you have, how often to you feed, ect?

Some algaes try to establish themselves with the bubbles.

I have some vivid green stuff and it is sort of from what you describe. Although I might have bubbles from the skimmer to blame.

Chemi-clean is to kill red algea, will prob make bubbles worse as you are adding a chemical to the system and turning off the skimmer.
I think Chemi-pure is a good product to remove organics from the water so I always recommend using it to help with nuisance algae.

Are the bubbles causing algae to grow?

Actually, even for red algae I think a water change and some chemi-pure is more effective in the long run to eliminate the source of the algae’s food, than adding a chemical to kill it in the short term. Which it does well.

If you don't remove the high organics that caused the outbreak, it will soon return.

Could it be cyano releasing nitrogen, my tank is in its run in phase and the rocks have bubbles and a little cyano.

So is Chemi-Pure nothing more than GAC? Or do they add something else to it?

There are also some silicone resin balls/beads in there.

Any idea what the silicone does (ie adsorb something that the GAC does not, act as a buffer of some sort, etc)?
