mistery and 6-line

at my work we have the most beautiful mistery wrasse i have ever seen and looks just like this one http://liveaquaria.com/product/prod_...fm?pCatId=355. i would like to put him in my 125 with my sixline but i dont know about them fighting. i have about 200 lbs of rock and loaded with stony corals.. the sixline is about 1.5" and mistery about 2". the sixline has been in the tank for a month.

i would be getting it for an amazing price at only $60

do you think it would work

oh yeah! the six-line is very teritorial. I had one for 5 months before it commited anemone suicide. it tormented everything until one day it met its match. i paid $12.00 @ LFS when it was 1.5" it was about 2" when it was eaten alive! REEF-ON!!!

DON'T DO IT. The six line will have the Mystery for dinner. I had a six line first and removed it from my tank before adding the mystery. My friend also had a six line in his 450gal tank and he thought it was large enough to add the mystery. Unfortunately, the mystery didn't make it and the six line did.

Six-line + Mystery = living hell!

Seriously 6ers are soooo territorial especially if they have already established themselves.

Wow, thats a cool looking fish! I think it depends on the Six. Mine harrased the crap out of a purple Firefish for a week, but then gave up. It never showed any agression towards a yellow Tang I added a couple weeks ago.

I would say yank it and let the Mystery get acclimated, but I tried that with mine, so I know its impossible!

My sixline seemed to get along with the exquisite wrasse, it worked for a week, but the sixline started to get territorial and pecked at the exquisite. I didnt think such a little fish could be such a terror. I like my wrasse though, I named her after my border collie lol, they are very similar.

My sixline wrecks some serious havock, I would pick which one of yours you like the best and ditch the other.

JME, but I don't know what all people go on about with Sixlines. Any I've had or have had to care for have been pretty mild (for marine fish). I had one in a tank (180) with little McCosker's Flashers, no problems at all. Heck, I've even seen them kept in multiples with no real aggression problems. I think a lot of people, tho, when it comes to "aggression issues", freak out very early on, after hours to a day or two, and decide to "remedy" the situation through removal of one or the other fish. Patience, a trained eye and conservative caution will often prove that "aggression issues" can simply be settled, and pecking orders established, with time.
