I've been wanting to do this for a while. So, let me find my camera (which has a recent pic o' tank) and throw one up here. Don't expect to be impressed though. I love my tank but it ain't for most.

Alright. This is an older shot taken in April, 2006 before I had MH lighting over the tank. It is much bluer now.

Love the old 55, Christhiam. I keep wanting to try that VHO setup on my 55.

I'm gonna keep looking for my flash card reader and get a current pic up soon.

Sweet tanks guys. AquaReeferMan, seeing your avatar reminded me of something. I just found my neighbors escaped Chin dead under our porch.

Okay,

Here is a pic of my tank taken yesterday. I now have dual 175 MH with 20000k bulbs. They are off brand so the colors are don't match exactly. I like the look though.

Maker

Hmmm.... Looking at this pic you really don't get how blue the tank is in real life. Oh, well. Inexpensive camera and crummy user.

sloshesv, I noticed that you have a hob and a skimmer, and pc lighting. But looking at your specimen, you probably had this setup for a long time. How difficult is it to take care of those sps that you have?

Also, am I just not seeing an overflow or something to a sump or refugium? And am I mistaking your lighting as an all-PC or is there MH in there that I don't see?

Im a HOB powerfilter reef guy with a 55G. But I mainly house softees and a couple of LPS's. Im a fan of your tank.

Thank you.

No sump or fuge. I have an AquaClear 300 filter and an Aquarium Systems 100 hang on skimmer. It is and always has been Corallife PC's, 10,000k 65 watt and 65 watt actinics. No overflow, I just scope out the top layer a couple of times a week. I also average changing out about 15 gallons per week.
The green acropora in the back is dead now thanks to my yc goby. Pre-fish it thrived. Both monti's were small, unspectacular frags that have exploded. The green one was brown when I got it and is another third that size since that pic. It's in much more flow now. The porites has also been going gangbusters for the last year and a half. I had to move the tank 6 months ago which gave me the perfect opportunity to rearrange. New camera and pics are coming to a theatre near you soon!

Right! I remember seeing your tank on the 'Show your VHO...' thread some time back. I have an icecap 660 lying around and Home Depot is just down the street. Even though I just set up my dual MH I'm still itching to try your setup.

Clownlover,

What are the dimensions on that 55? Looks good!
