DEAD AND DYING FISH...........Pasadena Tropical Fish
I have been there several times and the fish never look good, but today takes the cake. All of the fish looked terrible and they all looked like they were on their death bed. It is such a shame!

I was there on Friday and was able to get a healthy small Blueface. Still healthy today in my Q-tank. While I was there some fish were ok and some were not. The huge almost foot long Australian Harlequin Tusk looked super stressed and the Regal Angel which I saw on Friday was not there the next day. Im sure it died as well since it didnt look so good.
I talked to the owner because I havent been to his store in 15 years (he and his wife still remember my name when he had a smaller store next to Fedco). I didnt mention his sick, dying fish but he did say that he was going to expand his saltwater section to another 2 rows. Just hope he will improve the quality of the fish. |

their owner wouldn't let me use the bathroom. (the dude)
then i asked the lady and she was very kind and showed me to it. their acans and blastos cost an arm and a leg as well. their only good point is they have piscine mysis and other hard to find frozen food.

Show me a LFS that NEVER has problems with saltwater fish and I'll show you a LFS that NEVER carries saltwater fish. One new shipment can wipe out a whole system in a very short time. I don't know of any stores that have the ability to Q every new fish and keep it away from the rest of the system. Great idea for sure but if they did do it you'd have to pay way more for those fish and the complaints would then just be directed at the pricing.

No thanks Greg, I know the perfect store only exists in my dreams. If they never have fish die they should sell that secret to the 100's of other stores and they'd never have to work another day (or night) again. Where to these perfect fish come from... "The Sea of Perfection"?

Since you're an attorney, can't you just sue them?

We should start a thread on bathrooms of our LFS. One bathroom I went had a goldfish feeder tank in it and another had a live brine shrimp tank.

I used to go to Pasadena TF back in the 80's and 90's. They used to have a smaller store on Colorado closer to Rosemead Blvd. I think the owners name is Steve? I hate to say it but his store is as good as any.....I think Steve pretty much hit it. |

According to the dictionary, a lawyer is someone who practices law, while an attorney is someone who represents a client in the practice of law. Although the dictionary makes this distinction, there is no real distinction |
