i was shipped stronger TUNZE by mistake, what would u do?
i ordered a TUNZE 6000, but today a 6100.10 came. 6000 rated for up to 1850gph. the 6100 rated up to about 3100gph. i never had a TUNZE before...i read there is an adjustment where u can turn down, correct? i really wanted to get a total of 2 6000's w/ multicontroller. i was gonna buy another 6000 w/ MC in a month or so. should i just keep this stronger 1 and throttle back alittle? my tank is a 92 corner SPS w/ alot of LR.

DMK the Tunze 6000 pumps are the same as the 6100. The only difference is the transformers. The 6000 has a smaller one and the 6100 has a larger one. That is one thing I like about the 6000 you can always upgrade them later.

are the 6100's controllable???
if so just tune it down w/ a controller or the blue box w/ a the + and - on the box. Lunchbucket

Mchava is correct the 6100's you have, have a smaller transformer. The larger transformer is what gives your 6100 the power of a true 6100.
Are your transformers small? |

DMK,
The 6100 and the 6000 share the same "motor block", part number: 6100.10. Check the part number of the transformer. If it is a 7210.202, it is a 6000 and if it is a 7410.602 it is a 6100. hth, Luis |

being that the pump was stamped 6100, i figured that was what it was. my tansformer does say 7210.202 though, if that's what a 6000 transformer does say...

Go to the Tunze.com site and download the "Spare Parts Catalogue". I love Tunze because EVERYTHING is rebuildable. Luis |

Is the company you purchased it from aware of the mistake?
Because the right thing to do would be to let the company know. If you were to keep the larger Tunze you could place it in the center of the tank at an angle where the water would deflect back unto the corals. |
