thanks a4! I heard that when the cycle ends, I should see pods all over the place, however, I havent seen any.

I have only seen bristleworms roaming around, as well as 4 or 5 little starfish.

Does that mean that my tank is still cycling?

salutations New_Reefer_1, i can tell you that they are there, no worrie's as i hope you do know that they are nocturnal and only come out when the lights go out. in the middle of the night if and when you get up out of bed and sneak to the john or kitchen try going to the tank with a flashlight and "VOILA" there you should see in amazement a whole bunch of pod's scurrying to there nook's and crannie's, hope this help's...

yes, they should be on the rock's, start there first then look everywhere else! youve got to be quik at looking though because they will run and hide as soon as they see the light come into the tank...

Ok, cool! I have been checking for Ammonia = 0, Nitrites = 0, and Nitrates = 20. I have had a couple of damsels in my FOWLR tank for about a week now. I have an outbreak of brown algae on the rock/substrate/and the back walls of the tank, should I get 3 or 4 snails?

yes grab the snail and another helpful fish that will get rid of the algae is the lawnmower blenny/algae blenny he will devour the stuff and they love brown algae diatom blooms. also do a water change and try to get the nitrates down a bit more, hope this help's...

Ok, I will do that. I was just waiting for the tank to be done cycling before I do a water change. So is this the right time?

If you had pods hitchhiking on your live rock, then they've been there since you introduced the live rock. Water changes won't affect them.

You can spot them better at night if you have a red flashlight (I have a red LED flashlight from Lowes).

If you want to get larger numbers of pods, you can feed them phytoplankton.
