mjmod questions

OK. I have ordered my first mjmod kits and will hopefully recieve them today. Do you think the new style or old style installation is better. Should I use the carbon fiber tube or the plastic tube? I am think of using the "hobby glue". Is this somthing I can get at Walmart or Lowe's? Thanks ahead of time.

One more quick question...if I use the regular maxijet holder now, can I switch to a magnet holder later?

I used the new installation, but I have only used that way. never tried the old. It worked well and runs pretty quietly. If I do it again, I'll still use the new way. Be careful pulling the "core" out of the magnet. The original shaft snapped on my second try and I had to improvise I used the plastic shaft because i heard it was quieter. I could not find any "hobby glue" like he showed on the web. I just used super glue. it worked well. I drilled some extra holes in the original top of the mj and then used zip ties to mount the suction cup bracket to the top. That was easy, and I new that if I did not like it, I could just cut the ties and do something new. It has worked well and I have not felt the need to change anything.

Thanks. I went and got hobby glue today at a hobby shop. Worked well, Not quite as fast curing as super glue which i good and I didn't get my fingers stuck together. Built them today. They are incredible! I wish I had done this a long time ago. I will be getting magnet holders though cause they are too strong to have so close to the surface.
