Light temperature for chatoe

I just got 40w of plant and aquarium NO flurescent lighting. Its for over my sump with chatoe in it. Its a 2700k. Is this the right temp for macro. Thanks.

I don't know if 2700k is the right temperature, but I use a 6500K. YOu can usually purchase cheap 6500K lights at home supply stores. It's used for growing plants.

Thats what this one says its for but its a 2700k light. I thought the same thing but wasnt sure. Hopefully it works.

6500 Kelvin is what I thought.

honestly i've grown this stuff in the dark (and still do sometimes). i think you'll be fine. Although its hardly ever possible, sunlight works the best for me so far, but i had a HOB fuge with my tank against a window.
