Cleaner Shrimp Question

I am going to be moving my tank into a rubbermaid for a few days. I was wondering when moving the cleaner shrimp if he can be exposed to the air for a few seconds or will I need to transfer him in a small container. I think I heard you cannot do this but I might be mistaken.

The tricky part will be catching him without hurting him... if you're lucky, your cleaner shrimp loves to "nibble" on your hand when you put it in the tank. I've found that I can net my shrimp very easily this way. One hand holds the net; the other is the "bait"

I am going to take most of the water out and the live rock first. That should make it easier.
