weird things growing in sump

Hi all,

im new to this forum and have had a reef tank set up for about 9 months now. I have some weird things growing in my sump. THey look like a tadpole egg with a tadpole looking thing in them and then a really tiny branch connects of them to another one which grows a tadpole looking egg and so on they are growing pretty slowly. Does anyone know what these are and if they are good or bad. I have funny looking white things hanging of the glass and bio balls but i have been told they are good and it means my sump is mature. These weird tadpole looking eggs with branches growing of them have me stumped thought. Could anyone shed any light on these for me?

Yes those are the good things that are living in the bio balls, its the other weird thing im worried about that grows on the glass its almost like a plant in the way it branches out.

No, I didnt find them on that webpage either. I just tried to take a pic but i cant as they are growing on the side of the sump and i cant get the camera in properly. THey are kind of like a jelly coated egg with what looks like a tiny black tadpole in it then of the round/oval shape jelly looking eggs a real hair thing branch branches off and then a new jelly egg thing grows and so on
