Transfering Pods

Hello everyone. OK my 2 and a half gallon mantis tank is booming with copepods. I can harldy make out the glass when I turn the lights on at night. I was wondering if there is any safe way I can move them into my larger system. I was thinking of using like 1/8" tubing and start a siphon and remove them that way. Any other ideas?? TIA.
