Upgrading to a higher-watt MH system..

I currently have a 150 watt Hamilton Reefstar pendant. How do I go about upgrading it to a 250-watt pendant? Can I just replace the bulb and ballast to 250 watt and leave the rest as-is? Do I also need to upgrade the wires and the DE sockets?

thanks

your fixture may not be set-up for the 250 watt, probably not( wire gauge to small, sockets?), the safest way would be to contact hamilton or a place like hellolights.com and ask them the tech question on whether you need to replace the wiring and sockets, we know for sure the ballasts and lights changed
