lights

i was told that i should run my lights 8 hours a day. i have a 29 gall with two 36 watt lights. i have a frogspawn at the top, and zoos and a mushroom at the bottom, and some wild star polyps. i have read some people saying how long they keep their lights on some have said 10-12. which is good for me? thanks.

I keep mine on for a 12 hour day cycle and 12 hour night cycle. With 2 of those hours being purely actinics and "white" lighting on for 10hours. Your froggie will start shriveling and tucking himself into bed if the lights have been on for too long.
