Question Peppermint shrimp in refugium.

I have a few peppermint shrimp in my display tank and apparently also one in my refugium. It must have made the trip through my overflow etc.

Can I leave it there? Or will it eat pods/worms/anything other than algae? and aptaisia.

Thanks

I banished my three peppermint shrimp to my refugium because I caught two of them munching on my green stylo's polyps. I caught them and placed them in the fuge. They seem to be doing good although I only see two at once which means one may have passed...

he ll be fine in there, he will just scavange for food and such, i dont think he could eat enough to cause any damage to your fuge, if you feel bad for him give him a few flakes of food everynow and again

I'm sure the peppermints will eat anything living they can find down there, including pods, mysids, etc. Not a bad thing unless you try to use the 'fuge to send food up to the MT.

I do feed some flake every day in the fuge..just a little and they love it. I have watched them in the fuge for a couple months now. They don't seem to go after the pods and such in the fuge.
