1000 watt metal halide

do you tink a 1000 watt hamilton pendant could cover a 6 foot long by 4 foot wide tank 12 inch deep sps frag tank, if i hung it like 3 feet above. Want to use the least amount of fixtures possable

id say get several smaller units like a few 150watt

like about 4 of them

No, it will be too bright in the middle and not that well lit in the corners. 2X 250W bulbs would be far better.
