Bubbles after adding Protein Skimmer

I added a protein Skimmer in my sump and no matter how much I close the air valve on the skimmer the return pumps a ton of bubbles back into the tank. Any ideas? or suggestions. What other kind of info can I provide for someone to assist me. Thanks

do you have baffles in your sump, if not they will take care of that problem......if you cannot or do not want to put baffles in, then try piling live rock near both your skimmer output and your return pumps input

the bubbles will most likely stop once the skimmer is broken in which can take some time. try setting it on its lowest setting in the meantime

I agree with Artman. Once it's broken in the bubbles should be minimized. The exact same thing happened with my skimmer. After I want to say 7 days, a vast majority of the microbubbles were gone.
