Milk crate?

Are milk crates safe to use in a sump? Will they leach anything? I cannot find on the crate what it is made of. Thanks,

Hi,

Most plastics are safe but what do you mean by milk crates? The plastic milk crates you see for sale at like Target,Lowes, ect are safe in your tank.

Was thinking of using these in my new tank as reef racks tostack my rock. Anyone use these for that?
