RC Head loss calc help -- pump substitute

Hey all,

I'm using the RC head loss calculator and my pump is not listed. I have a Pan World PS150. Marine Depot says it's comparable to an Iwaki 55RLT, but I'm skeptical.

Can anyone tell me what pump the Pan World 150PS is most similar to?

Marine depot is correct. An Iwaki engineer started PanWorld and does a pretty good knock-off.

Okie doke.

Then what pump do I use in the calculator, the Iwaki 55RT-2? The 55RLT isn't listed.

I am sorry I can't answer that one, I got on the Iwaki site and the only thing I see with a -2 in the part number is a pump with a controller. I did not do an in-depth search though.
Output should be close enough to ballpark it anyway.
