moving anemone

just got a bubble anemone... it moved under a rock in a crevice.. and i know this is normal for them and they like crevices, but its tenticles are barely exprosed to any light... should i put my "rinsed off" hands in the tank and adjust the rock to where its body or skeleton is hidden and its tentacles are still getting light?? or just leave it alone?

I'd leave it. It will just go back there anyways. If his move does not suite him, he will move.

This is one problem with anemones. Hopefully it will find a place that it will be happy on its' own. Give it a couple of days. I did have a bubble tip that I had to place in a spot that I liked for a day or so. It took a couple of tries, but it stayed there about a year or so, until it split.

how long was your tank running before adding an anemone ? because everyone on here is telling me it is going to die because my tank has only been running for 3 months... but i mean my water is from the reef ( i live in key west ) and it is fully cycled... so why would 3 more months matter?

How did you cycle your tank and how are your water parameters now? I cycled my tank with GoJuice and added my first anemone after the 1st mo when the tank parameters were stable.

I'd be careful where you collect your water so you don't add pollution to your tank.
