Need cheap lighting for 20 long frag tank
any suggestions? The 175 MH I have on it right now is too much.

IMHO a new fixture would be a waste of money. Just move the 175 away from the water surface or put a piece of glass or two over the tank. If you decide to replace it, look closely at the odyssea brand ... if you search around here you will fnd MANY complaints.
Also, cheap t-5 lights generally have ****ty reflectors and thus produce far less PAR than a more expensive light. Basically, they aint much better than CFs. If you want to go t-5, go with sunlight supply, etc. Reefgeek has a good selection of quality lights. |

thanks. Might try to rig the 175. anyone have any ideas on the mount? was thinking of trying to make it like a desk lamp.
