Heater Problems

I have this sub 200watt heater, don't know the name anymore but it was one of the mainstream heaters you would see in a LFS, well the problem is I have this heater set to 82 and this morning my tank is 89. I don't know if the heater just got old and is unstable now.

Any good heaters out there, im going to make a online order.

How about the issue with my water being at 86 degrees, should I attemp to lower this temp although everything seems to be stable and the temp will drop down soon enough.

Been several hours and the temp is now at 85.5 and I will not run a heater for now, the temps here allways stay around 77 .
