how much flow through 20g sump?

Just bought a 20g Long that I plan on using for my sump. I could either go with an Eheim 1250 or 1260 as a return (300 vs 600 gph). I'm going to be using a HOB lifereef overflow, since my tank isn't drilled, and I don't plan on draining/drilling. Anyways, would the 1250 be fine @ around 200gph after headloss? I don't want to run a ton of water through the sump, but wonder if 200gph could cause a HOB overflow (even the LR) to fail? Thanks

I used a 1250 for my 20L sump under my 40Breeder, worked out very well.. I tested with a Mag5 just to see and I felt the flow was to high.
