Do you have live rock in the tank? If you have at least 1lb/gallon of rock there is no need for the sponge or ceramic rings. The carbon is ok.

Carbon should not be washed after it has been used- I never wash the carbon. I just replace it after a few months when it can't absorb any more. Also there is no need for ceramic rings if you have live rock. Sponges can be rinsed with water if you decide to use them.

This means you have 11lbs of live rock which is a good amount for a 10 gallon tank. I would suggest to just use carbon in your filter bag and replace it every month or so depending on your bioload.

Yeah, I'd go ahead and get rid of the sponge and bio media from the filter. The rock is plenty for bio filtration. I replace my carbon monthly.

if you keep the bio media do not wash it in any thing but tank water.than lightly rinse it ,about 1/4 of it at a time.you should not have to clean your bio that much.your pads and sponge should trap the crap before the bio.i have never clean the bio balls in my wet dry. i vacuum the bottom of the wet dry with each water change.
