I do not. I use mainly Oceanic, or Red Sea. The thing is you want to make sure your tank has NSW level for K. Seachem is supposed to be there, obviously RBS is, but I've heard the Red Sea Coral Pro is as well. I typically put some KB Strong into the salt before I add the to the tanks.....

Oceanic seems fine when supplemented with K Balance. The Ca and Mg are a bit high, Ca ~ 500, Mg ~1400 but the alk is nice, ~7 dKH. I hope to get some new Red Sea and test for K and alk, if those are lower, i may see how that goes.

Do not use the Reef Best Salt (RBS)? There is a problem with cloudy water and high dkh and PH.

I just started using the RBS and run zeo. I got a high Alk reading but it appears the pH is high and this gives you a scewed reading, once you bring the pH in line the alk is within limits, 8ish. I have a low battery on my pH monitor so I have yet to confirm this but over at zeo land that is the deal in the threads about high alk in the RBS salt.

Hello Blktang, I have been using RBS and Reefer salt for almost 3 months. I like the Reefer salt more due to the number of gallon per bucket and you can adjust your Ca, Mg and K+ manually. the down side is you have to do a lot of testing...... To me it worth the effort. I can get 200g out of the Reefer salt while reefer best is only 160g

My first batch of RBS was perfect parameter, 7.4-7.8 Kh, 1250-1300Mg, 8.0pH and K+ is 380+. On the second batch i ordered 4 buckets and all of them show high in Kh and Ph. But if you add 200ml of club soda (carbonate water) prior to adding the salt, you will have a lower reading of pH and Kh. If you ever run into this problem with high pH or Kh. Please don't add PERRIER Pure mineral water. Cuz this stuff ain't help a bit even though it is also carbonate but it is not strong enough to help dissolve all the elements.

This is my reading from RBS without Soda water
pH 9.6+
Kh 14.2
2hrs after adding Club soda
pH 8.2
Kh 8ish
One more thing, make sure you remove the heater.
If you need more info on the RBS or reefer salt, feel free to contact me Via PM or i can give you my Cell number.

I'm thinking this is a facetious comment...I'm not sure how this helps the original person asking their specific question other than to bash and be negative toward Zeo.

Reefer714, yes, that is my understanding as well. Club soda added will bring things in line. I am unsure why this is neccessary and I hope in future buckets of RBS I buy, which I will, this will not be neccessary.
