Need help quick

My emperor angel recently got covered with ich. I know if I don't do something very soon it will die. It keeps swimming to the top corner of the tank awkwardly. I have already caught it and gave it a fresh water dip for a half an hour but that has had no effect. Any help would be great. Oh by the way I don't have a quarintine tank I have never had a problem with a fish.

Is it a reef tank, do you have inverts such as corals, snails, crabs etc???

Half and hour FW dip. Wow! That is a long time to have no effect, I can't believe your fish put up with that. I have done this for 5 minutes and the fish go nuts and ich does fall off. Maybe you don't have ich then.

Reef

Its a reef tank and yea I kept them in fresh water for a half an hour. I did put a little bit of saltwater in the freshwater but just to keep the ph the same. But it was just a minute amount of saltwater I doubt that prevented the ich from falling off.

ditto sunfish. i gave my clown fish a fresh water dip and took it out in 10 seconds. it was acting like its gonna die. one of them didn't move at all after i put it back in the main tank, but was ok after a few minutes. i got so scared and swear never to try a fresh water dip ever again in my life. the good news after all this **** was that they both got cured of ich.

I am having ich in my tank too. As i read fresh water dip isnt a cure for ich. As soon as you put your fish back in to main tank next day it will be covered with ich again. I think Hypo is best wayto cure ich. Run your main tank 6 weeks fishless Ich will die in your main tank. Thats what i am doing right now.
