what do you suggest?

starting a new tank, do u suggest curing the live rock separtley in a bucket or is it better just to cure the rock with the live sand and everything in side the tank?

In the tank, after you pick the really nasty stuff off the rocks.

Agreed. Cure it all in the tank with a skimmer running.
