Lighting for JBJ 24g nano?

Being new to the hobby, I was hoping to get some advice on lighting for my JBJ 24g nano. (Wasn't sure if this should go straight to the nano section or not, sorry if I'm in the wrong place)

I was hoping to squeeze some more light out of this setup than the stock PC's, so I was thinking of picking up the DIY lighting upgrade from nanocustoms. Any advice on good lighting cycles / bulb combos for this hood? (I think the upgrade allows T5's) I am thinking general purpose, but leaning towards keeping zoas more than anything if possible.

Thanks for any tips/hints.

Hi: Nanocustoms is great at mods for the nanocube. I added an extra T5 actinic to my setup to simulate a sunrise/sunset lighting arrangement and had the two PC on seperate timers. Really did well for softies and zoas. I switched to a viper 150W in order to keep SPS.

Good luck Larry

I did a nanotuner upgrade to a 12gl unit. It was pretty easy if you are a DIY kind of guy. The upgrade I did required that I replace the ballasts in the stock unit and totally dissasemble the lighting in the hood. I used a dremel tool, soldering iron, pliers and wire stripper.

That should get it done.

Good Luck
