Little bubbles?

My Remora + Maxi 1200 seems to be putting out really a lot of bubbles which stick to everything. Is this just because they are breaking in or do I have a problem somewhere?

I assume the Remora is new?

If it is, yes that is normal. It is normal for any skimmer. It takes about 5-6 days for the smikker to break in. After that you shouldn't notice a ton of microbubbles.

lol

Yeah its brand new got it yesteday.. but the bubbles are coming out of the maxijet not the skimmer. If I just use the maxijet without it connect to the remora, it still happens

both units are new

maxijet should not spill any bubbles, because it should be fully submerged and connection from the powerhead to the skimmer must be "solid", try squeesing plastic clamps a bit to tighten the connection.

New skimmer will produce bubbles while it is new and not "broken in".

Well it was definantly fully submerged, I had it at the bottom of my tank so no salt would settle as I was mixing it. This was before I attached it to the skimmer

hmmmm. sounds odd to me. At 1st I thought, maybe he has the air tube attached to the powerhead, but when you said it was at the bottom of your tank and still making bubbles.....

I'm not sure. Mayyyybe (that was intentional) the powerhead needs a chance to break in too though. I know when I bought an extra powerhead for my tank, when I hooked it up I got some microbubbles for a few hours, but they went away pretty fast. Maybe all powerheads are like that. Not sure.
