sand choices
Need your input. What's better in filtration and prettier in color: figi pink, oolite, or reef sand?

I would go with either pink or reef. To me, there is very little difference between the two. Will this be a DSB or SSB?

about 1 1/2". Would 20 lbs be enough for the 29 bio cube. Its totally empty now. The inside measurements are about 19"X16", but I am going to put my rock in before the sand.

20 lbs should be good is you're not doing a DSB. The calc estiamated 24 lbs for 1.5" depth for your tank, so with rock you'd be ok

I have the Carib-Sea Fiji Pink, 20lbs for my 20g high. Really nice. I also would consider the Special Reef Grade which is very similar. The oolite is nice but I've read of people have some trouble with sand storms sue to the small size.
