I need a tank
hey all, I am trying to plan a tank. I want it between 29-35 gallons. I would really rather have glass, but I guess acrylic is ok. I really want a reef ready set up or at least one that is drilled through the bottom pane of glass. I really like cube tanks, but standard sizes are fine. Any suggestions on where to get something like that, or who manufactures tanks, or brands that don't have tempered bottoms? Thanks

I just don't want plubing hanging out the back of my tank. I would like it all concealed underneath so it looks nicer. any suggestions.

Don't know about the non-tempered bottom, but in that size range I'd just make sure you got a 36" long tank instead of a 30". Much easier to get good light coverage that way since standard light sizes are 24" and 36" nominal.
Despite that, the standard 29 gal is probably my favorite size tank. Common, so they're inexpensive, small enought to be easy to maintain, large enough to have a nice variety of critters. And I also like the apearance of the cube tanks Phil

I already tried to get a quote from glasscages.com, and they wouldn't do it. They said they wouldn't ship a glass aquarium of that size. And I wrote back and said that I would like the qoute for the tank anyway and they repplied with saying "I will give you a quote on acrylic", which is not what I wanted.

It's worth a shot- I found their price very fair on my tank- I just ordered a 72 x 30 x24 C/W starphire panels front and back, overflows centered on each end and closed loops in both ends and bottom.
