Sizing Baffles for Sump

If I have an aquarium that states that it is 12" wide will I need a 12" long baffle or will I need to adjust for the thickness of the glass and shorten the baffel? I plan on doing this today so a quick response will be appreciated. Thanks.

You should carefully measure the inside dimensions of the sump, then cut whatever you're using for the baffle (glass/acrylic) a little shorter. You can make up the difference with silicone.
