what kind of fish?

What kind of fish is the one that puts the sand its its mouth then spits it out? I was looking at getting one so it can help move and clean my sand bed. Thanks

-Erich

theres all kinds of sand sifting fish. sand sifting gobies, and jawfish are popular ones.

after your tank has cycled, you need to test the SG, pH, alk, calc, and nitrates on a regular basis. if you are having algae problems then look at phosphates. heres a good link on water parameters.

Absolutely get nitrite! Make sure you get ammonia also!!

For sg, you can get a hydrometer or refractometer. Refractometers are more expensive(about four times more), but well worth the investment.

Be sure to get quality testkits, like Saliftert. You won't be sorry.
