Tank Location?
I just wonder if the tank location does matter with algea growing? If I put my tank by the window, and get sunlight most time in the daytime, is this going to cause algae blooming problem?
Thanks, Ed. |

NO. That is a myth. If you want to provide some natural light to your tank it is very beneficial and more power to you. The only issue I would be concerned about is heat.
Algae absolutely requires nutrients to grow; no excess nutrients, no nuisance algae. Keep nitrates and phosphates low and you should have no problem.

I think if you can keep your phosphates and nitrates very low, there shouldn't be too much algae growth. A bigger problem might be keeping the temperature from getting too high.
