Bio wheel story
We all have had advice that we have taken for granted. Some are good like fish will not grow to fit the size of the tank you put it in and some are old wives tales and are seem to come out of no where such as my grandmother taking everything out of a fresh water tank "cleaning it" and putting it back. funny her mollies always thrived. On the forums i decided to test one of the pices of advice that was given about bio balls. There no scientific measurements that i could give anyone but when I bout my new penguin I kept the 2 bbio wheels in evethough i have been told they are nitrate factories. i ran the for a while say a few weeks and slowly but surely mu nitrates whent from 0ppm to i'd say 50ppm or higher. no amount of water changes helped. then i took out the wheels and within a week no more nitrates

Thanks for the success story. It really does work, doesn't it!
