tang partitioning

i have the yellow tang partitioned to about 1/4 of the tank with no live rock and just his lettuce clip. if i add new fish to the tank while he is over there, will he be less likely to harass them? i also have an angel fish that i added a few days ago, which he still bothers. will leaving him there for about two weeks fix the problems? the divider is transparent but i have the back of the rock arrangement to it.

I doubt the divider will solve any existing problems, but it might give safe haven to new fish for a bit.
