Dog-faced face confusing
When you look at a dog-faced puffer, doesn't the mouth look like it is the snout/nose of a dog?
I've seen these fish so many times at my LFS over the past few months but I did not realize that it was its mouth until I brought one home and got to feed him. Boy was I suprised to see him suck down food through his nose! I guess I always thought his mouth was lower. His teeth even look like the outline of two nostrils when they are closed. Let me get a good pic and show you what I am talking about. |

Mine is actually called a Arothron diadematus, which is pretty much a dogface's brother living in the red sea. the whole front is black so hard to make out the beak. silly looking fish.
